Our Background
The Philippine Nurses Association of Texas - Cameron County, Inc. (PNAT-CC, Inc.) is a local chapter of Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. (PNAA, Inc.). It was founded in Brownsville, TX on February 15, 2006 when the first (Executive Board) meeting to organize it was held in Lotus Cafe, 1601 E. Alton Gloor Boulevard, Brownsville, TX. Founding President Antonio B. Jayoma became a two-term President from 2006-2007 and 2007-2009. Since 2007, it has been registered as a non-profit professional organization or corporation in the State of Texas.

Its membership includes professional nurses of Filipino ethnic origin and of other races or ethnicities in Cameron County, TX or in Lower Rio Grande Valley (LRGV), TX area, in cities like La Feria, Harlingen, San Benito, Olmito, Los Fresnos, South Padre Island, Laguna Vista, Port Isabel and Brownsville.
